Longsilog

with fried egg

Longsilog is a very popular breakfast menu in Philippines, it is a combination of sausage (longganisa) fried rice ( sinangag) fried egg ( itlog)

For the sausage ( Longganisa)
In a pan put a little amount of water that is enough to cook the sausage, then put a little sugar, boil until cooked, then set aside.

 Fro the Fried Rice
Saute 2 cloves of garlic, then add 1 cup of rice, stir until done then set aside.

For the egg ( itlog)
Mostly eggs for this is fried but to avoid oil I poached it instead.
To poach an egg, just put water in a pan until it is boiling then put the egg stir the water and wait until the egg is cooked.

After all the cooking process for each item, arrange in a platter then serve.

Beef Giniling (Carenderia Style)

1 onion diced
1 tomato diced
3 cloves garlic
2 potatoes (diced)
1/4 kilo green beans/Baguio beans

1 bell pepper any color
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon atsuete powder (annatto)
1 beef cube
water- just enough to cook everything
cornstarch to thicken ( dissolved in water)

Procedure:
1. Saute the garlic and onion then add the ground beef and let simmer until the pinkish color of the meat is gone.
2. Add the annatto ( atsuete) powder, beef cube, soy sauce, salt and pepper then simmer  until the color and flavor blends well then add water and bring to boil and simmer.
3.Add the rest of the ingredients then simmer until half cooked, thicken with cornstarch then simmer until done..
