    Maja Blanca with Corn and Cheese


    Lately I am up to different flavors of maja, and somebody requested this corn and cheese recipe, so here it is.

    Ingredients:
    2 cups cornstarch
    4 cups coconut milk
    1 cup Nestle cream or light cream
    1.5 cups white sugar
    3 cups evaporated or fresh milk
    1 cup diced cheese
    1 cup corn kernel

    Procedure:
    1. In a pot mix all the ingredients ( leave some corn and cheese for toppings later) mix well until the cornstarch is fully dissolved then cook over medium heat stirring well to avoid it from settling at the bottom of the pot. Continue stirring until the mixture becomes firm, allow to simmer for a while before transferring to a molding tray.
    2. Pour to your desired container or molding tray then top with cheese and corn let cool and refrigerate before serving.

      Kasi kung bago mo sya niluto ay nilusaw mo muna talaga di yon magbubuo buo, at lahing hinahalo.

      1. kulang sa cornstarch, use the standard cup measuring tool. try mong lutuin uli then dagdagan mo ng kaunting cornstarch or kulang sa luto,

      at kung sobra po yung cornstach ano din po mangyari sa maja?

    19. I just made this, but used cream corn, nagkamali ako ng pagbili sa grocery store. I think it will be okay. Thanks a lot. Waiting for it to cool and I will refrigerate. I can actually turn this upside down to a serving plate right? I hope so, para maganda ang presentation. Thanks again.

    20. naka dalawang attempt na po ako pero isa lang result.failed. -_- hindi masyado tumigas at nagbuo buo.

      eto po procedure ko

      1. pinainit ko yung gata at condensed hanggang kumulo (pero continuous ang paghalo ko)
      2. pagka kulo, inadd ko na ang mixture ng cornstarch at evap.

      pero nung tumagal na sa paghalo, nagbubuo buo na sya. hindi ko alam kung nasan ang mali. :( patulong naman po please. :(

      1. Hello po! mali po ang ginawa nyo. Hindi nyo po dapat inihalo ang cornstarch sa kumukulong liquid ingredients, magbubuo-buo po talaga iyon. Ihalo nyo ang cornstarch sa liquid ingredients hanggang malusaw, isalang nyo po sa apoy, at halo-haluin ng madalas para hindi masunog ang ilalim hanggang sa lumapot ito. ^_^
